I didn't know that Brian. Had it been "Wolves" then I would have! The Hanover horse was a Div sign used by the Royals shortly after WWII and refers to a particular area of Germany - A well known German Warmblooded horse born out of the interest of the Kings of England and Hanover. Thoroughbred stallions crossed with various Hanoverian mares , some of which were descendants of the medieval heavy horse . King George II founded the state stud ( " Landgestuet " ) at Celle in 1735 , keeping the Holstein and Thoroughbred Stallion.
