Memorial Service

I was watching the Rememberance Service on the TV this morning. During the LAST POST as the cameras were panning through the ex-service men waiting to parade past the Memorial, I saw a ROYALS cap badge, it was only a fleeting glance, but I think I saw FRED COLLINGWOOD, maybe he can confirm that he was on PARADE.

  3. Yes I agree with Don, I had a lump in my throat and had to get another hankerchief. I also spotted the Royals Badge, it caught the Sun as it was highly polished. I don't think it was Fred.

  7. The parade in my local town (Stockton) was well attended by the public and ex-servicemen on parade.
Dozens of Ex-Paras,RM,DLI, Yorkshire Regt, RAF, RN & many others.
Sadly, only 2 Cavalry Reps. Myself (1RD) & 1 Ex-member of the Royal Scots Dragoons (2nd.Dragoons)
I wore a Sidehat with flashing Eagle,

    Regards Doug.

  8. Should all members who live within easy commuting distance of London try to attend next years Cenotaph parade? I for one would definitely make the effort as would my brother. More Eagles the better.

  9. Sounds good to me... but I would think to parade with the rest it would need permission from someone??

  10. I'm sure that could be sorted. I would be happy to contact the British Legion to find out the sp if there are enough of us to make it worthwhile. The more Eagles the better.
