Reg No..23323110
"C" Sqn 1956/58 I believe 1St Troop.
He now lives in DAWLEY, TELFORD
Only problem is is that he has not got a PC,so in touch by Landline only.
Anyone know of him?
He served in Wesendorf then Herford for a short while,demobbed just B4 we moved to Tidworth then Aden.
Oh he is 75 Yrs YOUNG.

Just for the record Pete Plumb, I have not got stuck in the MUD with this one yet. And yes before any comments, I need a new clutch. But its still fun to drive.

We decaled it in 60 Brigade Canadian for this year as part of Normandy celebrations being held in Boston next month.

Derek's Flag

I have put the Regimental Flag on the home page for Doug as he was having a problem to get them to download on the site.

Dereks Flag

I refer to the Regimental Flag, "found" by Derek in March 1969.

This has been proudly shown at recent reunions at the NMA.

In June 2009, Derek and John Matthew handed the flag to me for safe-keeping and to bring to future reunions.

Sadly, the flag will never again be raised over RHQ, 1st. The Royal Dragoons but as ex-Royals we can use The Eagle as a Banner.

With this in mind I have ( with most help from !er indoors) Dhobied the flag, renewed the support poles and made a cover - in Regimental colours - to protect the banner. The photos show the result and I hope it meets all your approval.

I intend to bring the banner to our future reunions and will hand it back when I can no longer attend.

Service at the NMA 20Th June2010

Gentlemen/Ladies,I am very pleased to announce that the North Staffs branch`s Chaplain the Rev Ann Taylor has agreed to do the Service on the Sunday Morning at approx 10.00/1030Hrs.

As some of you know Ann has an an op,for Cancer and is now having chemotherapy,and is not doing too badly,she told me that she would LOVE to do the Service as long as she is well enough to do it,if by ny chance she can`t make it I will be taking it once more,that is if you wish for me to do it???.

ROYALS REUNION 2009

Having just recieved my copy of THE HOUSEHHOLD CAVALRY JOURNAL i must say im not impressed ,i expected to see a good write up and a few Photo,s what did we get a small mention by the NORTH STAFFS BRANCH if it was not for them we would not have had a mention,so thanks to them for keeping the flag flying. so what happened to the write up which was going to done by JOHN MATHEWS and what about all them great photo,s that were taken. lets hope that this year we do get a good write up and some more great photo,s.hey theres not even a mention of a ROYAL DRAGOONS BULLETIN BOARD in the Journal.i had better stop here otherwise i could go on for ever.JOHN you let us down mate

Mike Pughs Funeral

Just got back from Mikes Funeral. He was given a send off fit for a king The Church was full with his family and friends who were all very proud of him.
Royals were represented by Derek Osgood,Micheal Henchion and myself and we were made most welcome
Mikes wife Linda and his family have asked me to pass on their sincere gratitude for the kind messages put on the bulletin board. Mike has now gone to join the other eagles in the sky. He will not be forgotten

I have been informed by Brian Ingram that Mick PUGH passed away at 0720 hrs this morning Sunday 2nd May 2010 Mick was a true ROYAL DRAGOON he will be sadley missed.he was always ready to crack a joke and talk about his time in the Regiment. He will be remembered
