RUSSEL HAYLEY [great nephew of MAJ ERNEST HAYLEY]

Thank you for accepting my membership to the Royal Dragoon group. I have some photos of my great uncle Ernest Hayley who served with the Royal Dragoons from ~1921-1945 (approx dates as I am unsure) and you are welcome to copies, one is his enrolement picture as he looks very young with the Dragoon motif surround. I am to build up an account of his short life as he died in 1953 from what I believe had some connection to a parade ground injury involving a horse. I recently discovered he was was stationed at Folkestone in 1936 and perhaps served in Kenya at some time. Apart from that I know very little. Do you know anyone that might remember him or where I could get some info of his life in the army as I believe he had quite an eventful time in the army but my family are very vague on the details.

regards and thank you

NIGEL REEDS BOOK

To all my friends and acquaintances whom I have meet over the years. Finally my book "Beware of the Cuckoo"
is completed.

This is a story of one man's battle to create a Children's Hospice while having to deal with endless grief through loss of
his only daughter to Cystic Fibrosis, several family members and friends which in turn lead to depression.

It shows that most barriers can be overcome to achieve a dream as long as one has the passion and purpose in life.

It is available through our web site at www.walkyourowntalk.com

We are making a $5.00 per book donation to children's hospice in four countries as stated in the web site.
So for example if you live in England the donation will be given to The Little Bridge House

Enjoy the web site and of course we would appreciate your patronage and support.

Please spread the word to all your families, friends and work mates.

Regards and Best Wishes to all of you

Nigel and Jocelyn Reed.

Dear Mr Atkins

I am writing to thank you and the Ex Veterans, on behalf of Combat Stress, for your very kind donation of the television.

It was a delight to meet and welcome you to Audley Court for the presentation of the television on Thursday 29 July 2010.

The gymnasium area, because of its increasing popularity with our clients, is gradually being updated with new equipment, and the television will be placed within this area. This facility provides an additional option to assist in refocusing thoughts away from the harrowing experiences and traumas endured during their services career, in helping them to gain relief from various chronic, complex and long term problems.

We appreciate your kind gesture and thoughts, and once again many thanks for choosing to support our charity and assisting us to progress.

With very best wishes Yours sincerely
