I have today sent a get well card to Denis, on behalf of all members of the Bulletin Board, will give an update on his progress after I have been in touch with Jean.
I had a chat with Denis's wife this morning and she tells me that he was still a little groggy when she went to visit him last night, one thing was he did not go down for his operation until after two o'clock so he had not really come round from the anesthetic, he is not expected to be out until towards the end of next week, I have told Jean that I will phone tomorrow for an update.
You're right John email sent 22 Nov 2011 @20:23:51 so why has this taken two days to get from Newcastle to the West Midlands? Maybe I should report this to the iPlods in case an OAP Cyber crime has been committed?
The update report on Denis is, they have had to sedate him while he has had a tube down his throat because he does not like having it there as it makes him gag, the good news is they have taken it out this morning so Jean is hoping to find him feeling a little better today, but as Derek and I know Denis doe's not have a lot of patience and thinks that he should be getting over it and coming home soon but I think he is going to have to wait for a few more days yet, when he starts shouting at the nurses we will know that he has had enough of being in hospital and they will probably be glad to get rid of him !!!!!!!
Denis phoned me tonight from his hospital bed, he has been moved to a recuperation ward and he says that he is feeling a little better today and that he hopes to be home maybe next week end if all goes well, but as we know Denis is not known for his patience and will want to try and get out sooner, but I think that we will all hear from him about his time in hospital, he did have one complaint tonight and that was this nurse came and stuck a needle in his stomach, he should be lucky if that is the only place that they stuck it, the other thing that he was having a gripe about was that Jean and Tracy had left the dog at home on its own instead of bringing it with them and leaving it in the car, what is he like ????.
Good news indeed - the CO said when they start to tick they are on the way home again - and that poor little doggie!!!Glad you are getting on top Denis, waiting for you to tell us soon what a lot of ???????s we are!!!!!All the best. --------- Don
I can now inform you all that Denis has now returned home and is feeling fine, we will not hear from him until about Monday as he has told me that he will be resting up for a few days, it is good to have him back and everything has gone well for him. (WELCOME HOME PAL)
Denis phoned me tonight and ask me to thank you all for all your kind thoughts and messages here on the BB and that he will thank you all personally when he feels well enough to come back on the BB which he hopes will be in about a weeks time.
Great to hear from you Denis - take things easy for a bit and you'll soon be your old self again. All the best for 2012.Bet that little doggies tail wagged when you got home again! ---------- Don
Pleased to hear you are back home, now take it easy and do as you are told,I'm Sure Jean will make sure of that. All the Very Best to Both of You Denis & may you have A Very Healthy and Prosperous New Year
Thanks John. Strangly enough I received one of those OAP emails from him yesterday, so he must be on the mend?
ReplyDeleteFunny that Stan because he went in on Wednesday and was supposed to have had his op on Thursday, perhaps his Email was sent by Snail mail. ????
ReplyDeleteJohn Atkins
Or directly from God? That would be typical of Denis to send me an invite!! ...but more likely a knee-jerk reaction from one of his nurses !!
ReplyDeleteLets hope it is all good news.
