Good to see a picture of Chris Sharkey. He lives not too far away from me, but I have never run into him since leaving the regiment. Dave Gray looking as if he was OFFICER MATERIAL.
Roger I was thinking of you as I was posting them. I intend to Decal my FSC as 00DA62. Great Days!!! As many may remember getting stuck in the Mud on Exercise was welcome Break.... Time for a Brew & Kip
Another test of memory: Does anyone remember the name of the US Ammo dump we had to Guard sometimes. I remember the guard room had bed-springs & no mattresses. we had to sleep fully dressed at all times. We were searched for contraband when we went out on stag. Then spent 2 hours in a cold wooden tower with only 6 rounds of 9m ammo placed on the shelf separate from Magazine & weapon! It was A Cold War?
The only site I remember was the one at Munster Lager which if my memory serves me right was actually nowhere near Munster but was somewhere around the Sennelager area. All that time spent in those guard towers. While you were on stag you stayed in the guard room just out side the gate when you were resting, ie on QRF you stayed in a small camp a couple of miles away.
