  18. Sorry about that - "blutwurst" - gotta be kind to everyone! The CO went bonkers today, and we had an "international" Sunday lunch, parsnip soup(GB)Irish beef rollade filled with kidneys, bacon, and gurken, red cabbage and bratkartoffelen(D)followed by Apfelstrudel and clotted cream(A)
Good job I had a long hike this morning - cold too - the puddles were all frozen solid and the motorists were scratching their windscreens!

  22. I would not let jim have cooked breakfast more than once a week because of his diabetes, and I tried to keep him on a healthy diet when he stopped work. But when I started working on the Taxis, I use to go out at between six and seven in the morning and usually he was still in bed. However after the school runs at about 9.30 & 10.00 I use to pop home for a coffee, But he was never there, and he was still putting on weight. The reason was because he was going down to the local Morrison for the full english brekkie, but one day I went in to buy sandwiches because I had an airport run and I saw him coming out of the cafe, you should have seen the look of shock on his face
