Royals wore the Hanover Horse Div. Sign during my time with the Regt. Jan.1949 - May 1950, and maybe before or after those dates. We were at Wolfenbuttel then. I don't recall seeing any other Regt. wearing it. The Sherwood Foresters had a div.sign , a blue shield, with a red St.George's Cross, with Roman numerals in each corner. The Paras were at Brunswick but I don't think they had the Hanover Horse. There was a Royal Signals unit at Wolfenbuttel but we didn't see much of them at all. The Blues were north of us and we had joint Mess nights occasionally, and the Greys were at Luneberg so far as I can recall. Thanks to Terry for transmitting the Div.Sign. Harold.
