350 th anniversary Blue & Royal

Dear Member of The Blues and Royals Association,

Members that had the opportunity to attend the Annual Association Dinner on 7 May 2011 at Combermere Barracks will know that a Commemorative Scroll to mark 350 years since the forming of The Royal Horse Guards (The Blues) and The 1st Royal Dragoons, subsequently amalgamating to form The Blues and Royals, was given to all those attending the Dinner. The scroll, which is on parchment, is in the form of a message signed and sent from The Colonel of The Regiment to our Colonel in Chief, Her Majesty The Queen; an example of this limited edition (only 500) scroll is attached.

If you would like one of these highly desirable, limited edition Commemorative Scrolls, please complete and return the attached order form to The Blues and Royals Association at Home HQ. The cost of each scroll (which are in A4 size and come in a cardboard tube) are £5.00 each (including postage and packaging) and sales will be on a first come first served basis with a maximum of 3 scrolls per member. Cheques should be made payable to “The Blues and Royals Association”.

Regards

  8. John I have just been on the phone to Reg Brown and he would like to have one of the Scrolls. I know it's probably late in the day, but are there any left?
If so, can I order one for him as he doesn't have a computer? He was chuffed with the one that was sent to him with his name on, as although he intended going to the Reunion "do", he was unable to attend.

    Harold.
