Welcome to the BB NOBBY there must be lots of members on here that remember you.once you get the time and have found your way around the BB please tell us what you have been doing since you left the army also where you are now living.
On leaving the army in 1976 became a hgv instructor. Retired at 65 in 1991 and been living off my pension since then. In recent years unfortunately the wife's health has deteriorated and spend time looking after her. Before that we have had several trips back to Singapore, where our oldest daughter now lives and to Ipoh where my wife's relatives come from. Would like to know if anyone would have any photos of our wedding, unfortunately we only have the one, which is not very good quality. We were married on 14 April 1962 and the photos were take by the regimental photographer. I know its a strange request, but would be a very nice surprise. By the way my wife was wearing a blue dress!!
Don't have too much time to indulge in visiting the site, as I am also recovering my self and looking after the wife, but it is nice to see old photos when I do. look forward to hearing from you all soon.
Wtshing you all the best Nobby & Nancy ;@ have great memories of you and your lovey family at Am Postiech in Detmold, especially our jaunts to the old pieperclause pub in the village down the road. Good luck & take care. Zoot By the way, after the amalgamation, I re-badged to your old regt 9/12 lancers & ended up as their Band Sergeant Major
