  2. I commanded 1st Troop A squadron in Berlin 1949.My Troop Sergeant was Sgt.Phillips.

  4. Yes Don A very Big Welcome to Capt Bucknall that goes with out saying,like you Don he will all ways be Capt. Bucknall to me.The only one I can say I knew was Sgt. Baguley he was at Carlisle in July 1956 along with Major Greaves another real Gentleman also three real characters . Sgt's Mush Stanley,Weston, & Wood's.

  5. Itoo remember those 3 sgt s at carlisle, but all 3 rejoined reg in 57.Sgt Woods was 5 troop sgt
    Asqn and mush Stanley also came to A sqn bot he was demoted to Cpl soon after joining reg. John

When I commanded the assault Troop in "B" Sqn Mush Stanley was my Corporal,he had a habit of stopping the boys getting bored on exercise's by digging with their bajonets for mines!!!And sleeping sentries were woken up by some of his explosive devices,I think he had a private supplier of explosives?

  8. Baguley,when he was B Sqn Signals Sgt,kept an immaculate wireless log,and by doing so saved me a lot of embarresment once on exercise!

  9. On 6th April 46 of us ex Royals officers lunched at the Cavalry club in London to celebrate vour 350th anniveraary !A good party !
