On amalgamation the band members were asked if they wanted to purchase their instruments. The money collected went to the PRI. Three Months after I arrived at Knightsbridge I was called into the office of the Director of Music who asked me who I paid the money to for my instrument. As far as I can remember everything was documented by Pete Everson as he ran the stores and I can safely say that Pete was as honest as they come, but having seen your remarks Don, it makes me think that the money went missing after it left the Band office.
I wonder were all the helmets went. They are not at the museum in Windsor or London.
