Now, I ask you all, where is my mate Paul Graver....or should I say 'RoyalDragoon'! He has been very quiet and he hasn't sent me any email.....not that I answer emails all that often anyway, but I do like reading them. Do you think he could have laryngitis????
Mr Graver, I will be in Perth next week so get the guest room ready....I'm not paying for hotel rooms when I have free accommodation at the Graver residence and I don't eat much and as I don't smoke you won't find any cigarettes in your swimming pool....lol.
Jenny Bob
I would like to say a big welcome to all the new members, although it would be nice if I could see what you look like.....you know what I mean guys....put a face to a name or a name to a face...whichever you prefer. Surely you can't be that bashful!

Stan asked me to send the following
Sadly, Ex Boy Soldier Tony Watts, from the good old Wesendorf days passed away yesterday 8th November, 2008
There were only ever 4 'Royals' Boys at Wesendorf, myself (Stan) Jim Meike, Tony Watts and Pat Burgess. Jim Meikle and myself are now the only two left!
Being a 'Royals' Boy was a tough act to follow!
For example: If a Boy was caught smoking at Wesendorf it was an instant 7days Jankers!!!!!! - I think I Blancoed Dixey Lewis's web belt more times than his own Batman!
On a more positive note, we had to report at 11am daily to the cookhouse where Dixey gave us a cheese sandwich and a cup of cocoa - to the envy of the rest of the regiment I might add!
Tony was found dead in his car after telling his wife he was going out for a while.
I hope to be able to attend Tony's funeral as a Royals/TRBL standard bearer.
Tony lived in Rochester, Kent.
If anyone has Jim Lees's email address, would they please forward this to him.
As for the above picture, which I took in 2007 - Cheers TONY!
Stan and Terry Whitworth
I have received a phone call today to inform me of the death of Mike Lock after a long illness bravely born although not on the site but met up with him two years ago at the North Staffs Dinner, my thoughts go out to his wife and family at this sad time.
John
I will be at the Service at Ypres (Menin Gate) on 11 Nov 08, with the SHAPE contingent. Anybody attending, you are cordially invited to join us for a few jars in the Ypres British Legion, after the parade. First rounds on me. Regards Ian
A few members from Brisbane gathered to have lunch with Richard (Dick) Cox - Life Guard and his partner Irene, who are currently holidaying near Brisbane and to show our Brisbane hospitality. Although 7 attended but we all had fun, great conversation and some good laughs and most of all the food was delicious and plenty of drinks.
Dick presented a framed Life Guard plaque to put up on the wall once the Australasian Association gets launched. On behalf of all members I would like to thank Dick for his lovely gift and this will be displayed at future functions.
Once again, it was worth the effort just to see the smiling faces.
