Brian, The Sunday at the NMA is as I said at the beginning is being organised by Ian Taylor and Capt Thellusson from the North Staffs Branch, I believe that Ian is going to put in plan B on Thursday when I will be at the NMA with Barrie Dolphin sorting out what we will need for the banners if the service is carried out on the site so until then I cannot say what the situation will be, when I know I will add it to this post.
I have been to the NMA today and met up with Ian Taylor and Barrie Dolphin to work out the best way we think we can mount the banners on Sunday that is if the weather is kind to us, If the weather turns out to be wet there will be an alternative set up which Ian has discussed with the relevant person at the NMA, there is a tent available but it will be standing only as to have chairs would cost an arm and a leg,
TIS.... Plan "A" worked fine. Not quite sure what time the beer tent closed as I left a little earlier - and not too far to travel! No doubt we'll hear more later.
For those who unfortunatly could'nt attend, I can tell you that those that were there done the The Royal Dragoons Proud, For me personnaly its a day i wont forget as i read out the Royals Collect to all during the wreath laying , and to the few Blues that made the effort thank you for sharing a fine day with us. Fred.
