How many personnel from the 1960/62 Ipoh and Nee Soon REME LADs are members of this web site. I would like to contact you, if you are interested, to revive old memories and photos of that period.
Walter does the name John Cogan (alma) mean anything to you as he was a REME Lad, he was in the LAD in Aden and then I think he went to Ipoh with the regiment.
Yes Derek I have quite a few photos that I must get on the BB. They are both of Ipoh and Nee Soon. Hi John, I sort of remember he was one of the scammel drivers. This is why I would like to try revive my memory of this period as I do seem to have a lot of blanks
There you go Walter that is one of your lads, I met up with John recently in his home town and we had a good chat and a couple of pints, it was nice meeting him after such along time, he is the only one that I know of that has joined us on site but maybe someone may know different.
Thanks Johnie, I have been in contact with John off site and sent him some photos. Must get some together to put on this website. I have quite a lot of Ipoh and Nee Soon. So here's hoping a few more REME lads appear
Walter, we could do with a few photo's of Ipoh and Neesoon as there doe's not seem to be many from that time so if you can put a few up it would be good to see them, if anyone has a problem getting them onto the site they can Email them to me and I will do it for them.
I am trawling thru! this website and reading "old comments" When in Windsor for the Regt. Dinner at Combermere Bks. My brothers and I normally stay at the "Trooper Inn". After the Parade in Hyde Park (Sunday) and a few drinks in Knightsbridge Mess. We return to Windsor on Regt. Bus, Enjoy a meal in Windsor and then retire to the Working Mens Club, next to the "Trooper" (To get to the point) The Steward of the Club is Ex.Reme/Royals from Aden/Malaya.Can!t remember his name, but will make all welcome.
Walter you must have few photo,s you can put on the BB
