  1. JimStirling was a friend of mine in Wolfenden and Egypt He was an old soldier when I first met him in1948. Is Jim still around ?.When did he eventualy take his discharge ?.

  2. Jim left in early 1959. I have no idea what happened to him after that because I left a few weeks later.

  3. Jock Dempster is certainly correct and I remember that the other chap was a Scouse so you are almost certainly right there too. Should I know you too?
    Do you know the ones on the Jimmy Stirling shot? They are all the same era - 1958/59

    Sgt.Jim,s farewell. That is Lt Yates (in No1s) 3trp Ldr. behind him. The others? Sorry.
    Do you know me? I was a Lcpl in 3 Trp. (Will find some pictures sometime). I remember seeing an Official photograph of Part2, March Past at Herford. Squadron in column, Right Marker , Cpl. Auty, sticking his tongue out. wish I.d kept it.

  6. I remember Jimmy Stirling well in Berlin when he was a trooper.I believe he had been a Sgt before then .Does anybody
    remember his drinking partner Mousey Roberts
