  7. No, ' Exemplary Discharge ' Don. 6&3, only 2 years boy's service in Wesendorf didn't count towards man-service hence 8years in total. A further 3 years T.A. was money for old rope! "Did Bill Owen march me out?" No, kept me waiting in the guard room for ages though. Walking through those gates for the last time is something I've never forgotten.

And Tidworth - what a dump,the nearest my CO got to divorcing me I think,and to top it all they sent me off on a long Gunnery Course.The CO was walking to the NAAFI there when she met the Bim - he stoppod her and chatted,adding "look after that husband of yours,he's a very valuable member of the Regiment"!Not sure if he was taking the you know what?Mind you I did get my promotion a few weeks later!!!!
