Yes, the guy to the right wearing glasses is on the Cine to video clip I have talking to someone in-front me, presumably the gentleman above, but can't be seen clearly as his back is towards the camera. This would have been taken in June 1962 waiting for the train to take us from Singapore to Ipoh. If it is then I'll gladly post a digitized copy here. If not, well it's rather a lot of hassle to have to convert for little or no interest.

What a great guy. (RSM Watorski) " i tell you once, i tell you twice, but i don't tell you a second time!!! "Get out of my door and close the office. What you think i am, a writertype" ??I am proud to say i served under him in detmold. Oh happy days
I met that gentleman some 4 years after the takeover, in Canterbury. He hadn't changed other than a shock of white hair. I said that we really missed him and asked if he would come to one of the RHG/D reunions but he said he wouldn't .Such a shame, HE could have taught the Blues a thing or two
When he was SQMS 'C' Sqn: doing a stores check; "Mug animal". Storeman asked "What Q?". "MUGS ANIMAL.MUGS ANIMAL. MUGS ANIMAL". "OH you mean enamal". 'What do you think I said?" Always immaculate in turnout. With a short Fuse. But did'nt bear a grudge. A man I admired.
I ased you your name Trooper ! and you say to me Why !!! Lock him up Cpl , Poor old Pete Why . I tell you that you need more Polish on them boots , And you tell me i Polish , Chico( Collins) Crabbe !! When i say push you bloody push harder !! Tug of War team Detmold.
I was his Ferret driver when he was A Sqn SSM. He was terrible at map reading and he would blame his map each time he got lost or he could not finjd his way He also got rather cross!!!! when I managed to knock him over down at Larzac. What made it worse was Roger Evenden nearly wetting himself laughting when it occurred. !Oh what fun!.
A good lad was our Dick.I remember him having an argument in the Mess with someone,he had the last word saying "you English think you know everything - but I tell you - I know bugger all!!!" -------- Don
Thanks for that Frank. As there is so much interest in this thread I can see I'll have to convert the 8mm-Cine-to-Video-to Digital to see if we can Identify any other members. On reflection, this may well have taken place in November 1961, as this is the only other time we were duty band in Singapore.
If I didn't know any better I'd say it looked like a sketch for the Phill Silvers Show as in Bilko and Doberman ! whoops, that's another 7days jankers! Never missed an episode of Phill Silvers, now there's a Master Sergeant for you. Anyway, the gentleman wearing glasses now appears to be Major Watson, HQ Squadron leader? See if you can recognize any ohers in the video.
Not sure about the face but background looks like Singapore? If I'm right? - got a video to go with the picture !
