  13. It seems that we had too many Lofty's in the Regiment by what I see on here, as there always seemed to be a lofty that turns up somewhere along the way.

  16. Hiya Lofty, nice to see you are keeping well, you really hav'ent changed
much, would still be able to pick you out in a crowd.
Your old foto brings back memories of you in "C" Sqn,I still remember the
day you s showed up outside the block in a beautyfull black shiney Merc,
made everyone jealous, and then a while later you went and crashed it,THAT
was the end of the Merc, think that was about 1968 happy days.
Nice to see PG is lookin after you,but beware if he looks to closely, he does
a nice line in wooden overcoates......LoL.
    Have a nice time.......Good Health

  17. Been away, missed Pauls message.

John (Lofty) Davies was 2nd. Tp. C Sqn. Tp. Ldr. Driver. (2lt. Bols) 1964 Paphos , Cyprus.

They were the only two who could fit in a Ferret together. Lofty was 6!-4 & Lt. Bols was 5-2.

Somewhere on the site is a photo I posted of Lofty sitting as Comm. on FSC Surrounded by approx. 2 doz. armed Greek Militia (His Bodyguard) in Paphos.

    Regards Doug Best.

  18. He has the same picture Doug and he remembers you very well. I would think there are many stories that could be told of you lot when you were younger but most of you have wives and they may look in now and again. He told me that story about the Merc a couple of years ago Michael.
