Queensland Floods

Hi Guy's still raining here we have just been cut off.the Pine river has just crossed the road and Strathpine has now got to evacuate.It is going to get worse as we have got the King tides this afternoon.Will keep intouch.

  3. Sorry to hear that Tony. I'm ok here and doubt if the floods waters will effect me, but who know how high the Brisbane river will rise and how far it will spread.

Hope all our friends down there are okay,was thinking of you all whilst watching the pictures on TV from Queensland last night,makes our wintry problems look like peanuts.And lovely to hear from our gal down under,hope you and yours are okay,maybe Fred or Brian are on their way with May Wests?Best wishes to you all,watch out for those crocks and snakes looking for a dry home!

  7. I hope that you maybe manage to get away with the floods out there, will be watching with bated breath and hope you will all be ok, as I know from my friends here being flooded out a couple of years ago how devastating it can be.

  8. This morning spent time netting in to Digital TV - and saw the floods in Queeensland,terrible,do hope and pray that you down there are all safe and well.Nothing worse than to be under water.Look after yourselves.

  10. I think Tony is ok not sure though. I am more than ok the flood waters didn't come near me as I live further away from the Brisbane river and any surrounding creeks. On dry land you could say. Don, you mentioned crocs and snakes, well the croc did not belong to Brisbane. Snakes no doubt will be a problem in those affected areas but a shark was spotted in the Brisbane area..there is one area on the Brisbane river that does seem to attract them from time to time and did so this time. Not a pleasant sight but thank goodness this morning the peak didn't reach as high as predicted but the mess is another thing to clean up once the water goes down. Thinking of volunteering my help in some way as I am one of the very lucky not to be effected.
