I remember it well. They had a bar set up just like a pub and as much beer as you could drink. A good day out. Can't get your photos up big enough George, so can't put any names to them. I might be on it. Extreme left looks a bit like Jock Maclaferty. Can't remember you George, what troop were you in?
Yes great times !!!! I will try and get a larger picture on, the name Maclaferty rings a bell do you remember Pap Dawson I think second from the left ? I was in "A" sqn 1960-62 in Aden in 1960 for five months then went to Singapore Neesoon on the TT Nevassa then regiment football in Ipoh Malayia.
Pop Dawson was my troop Sgt in Sharjah, he was a great guy ,I could tell many stories about my time with Pop and all the grief we used to give him in M T troop.

Although the picture is a bit small, I believe that the man next to Macclaferty is SGT Pop Dawson ???? What do you think ?
ReplyDeleteIt looks very much like him, you could be right, I know I went on one tour of the brewery but not sure if it was that one,
ReplyDeleteButch Ward
George, I think Butch may be right about Pop being on the photo.
