The longest day and the best ever was the 21St of December 1957,as it was the day Rose and I got Married,still together as we both agree parting would cost us too much cash we can ill afford.!!!!!!!!!!
Only kidding gents,we are looking forward to out 60th,only another 8 yrs.

Congratulations to you both. I got married on Boxing day 1955 but that only lasted 6 years. By the by: the 21st is the shortest day in Shetland. Are we different?

ReplyDeleteStan,my parents had to sign consent form as I was only 20, 21 on March 7th 1958.
ReplyDeleteThe other memorable day for me was 6th June "D" day but mine was in 1958 when I landed in Hadrians camp Carlisle.

Thank you ALL ,we do not realise that being married for so long just how much we now take for granted,one gets in a routine she does??he does??not realising how a couple work together ,even though you do not realise it at the time.
