Hi Barry loads of faces I remember but having a slight problem putting names to them. I think on the troop line up I was right down the far end as I drove Geordie at the time and they always seemed to tuck us away somewhere. It must have been because I wasn't photogenic. LOL.

Pixie, where was Les Schooley and Aussie Joyce ? Probably got lost on their way from the tank park, to be fair it must have been all of two K's from the hangars to the main camp and Les' map reading wasn't the best in the world. Though he could take a squirrel's eye out at 200 yds and often did. Dave 118
Fantastic photos Barry. Brings a tear to an old mans eye.

Aussie Joyce was on leave for that ex. It was my first with Recce tp and as a driver and was on promise of death if I bent his Ferret.
ReplyDeleteI think I was a way in Norway outward bounding at the time this went off
ReplyDeleteBarry Wall, Correct me if I'm wrong, I think your in Pic's 2&4 thats all the same Exercise?
ReplyDeleteRequest to All Recce? Can anyone remember ,The Exercise Name & if we were Enemy or Umpires?
ReplyDeletePixie191
I would say going by the big yellow crosses on the turrets we were enemy if we had been umpires the markings would have been white.
