It is not the Ken Lloyd who was REME an armourer,he joined us at Chester and accompanied us to Egypt,he and I roomed (in a tent) together.This Ken had joined up as a boy and was a good footballer.I too played many tlmes with him.This Ken had also done his parachute tralning and I seem to remember his home was in Abbingham,
Harry, Your not quite right about Ken Lloyd , Although yes he was in the R.E.M.E But he rebadged into the Royals, i dont remember him having P.A.R.A wings and as far as i can remember he came from the London Area , He now lives down in Devon Newton Abbott ,when i visited Sammy Simpson a couple of years who lives in Brixham i rang Ken and had a long chat with him,
Hi Harry, I stand corrected yes Ken Lloyd did were P.A.R.A wings confirrmed by Sammy Simpson who i spoke with yesterday, But that is not him in the photo !!!I also spoke to Ken himself ,but could'nt get much of a conversation from him !!! i Understand from Sammy Kens not been well !! On a lighter Note Don if your reading this post Sammy sends you and the C.Os his best regards regards ,I have his telephone no if you want it said he would love to hear from you.
Sammys telephone number would be much appreciated Fred,may have to wait a bit before calling him up as the old ears are currently playing me up.Who is that guy on the picture,come on,someone MUST know,and its keeping me awake at night and I'm off my food? Enjoying the weekend? ------- Don
