Hi Barry last time I saw Colin would have been in '68 tho' I was in MT Troop with him before going into Recce Troop. I think my brother Tom got on with him really well. Are you attending the June reunion? It would be great to see you again after all these years.
Hi Barry that,s my old stamping ground, what pub was it ? I was down there in October visiting my brother, I still go down at least once a year if I can, but the drive is getting a bit too much now regards
All my family are still down in that area but I was just there for a family funeral so didn't get much time for sightseeing John, I can remember the face. Don, It was great talking to Colin as we appeared together in the local paper in 1968 when he was driving the mini bus for the ski team. Seems we had both kept said paper cutting. Butch, It was the Eastergate just into the Hornet from East Street. It's Colins current local. Tiffy, Sorry can't make the reunion this year due to prior committments. (Cruising round the med)
I remember colin as we were in mt troop from 67 to 70 when i was left germany but colin only had 6 months so he left early, we were in the same room so i got to know alot about him, I would like to hear from him any body know how I can contact him.
Was he still smoking that awfully smelly pipe.

ReplyDeleteVic, I'll try and get one of my nephews to pop in and give him a message
ReplyDeleteYes I know the Eastergate I used to drink in there when I worked for Shippams in east street, going back to many years Barry regards Butch
ReplyDeleteThe only thing left of Shippams now is the clock. The front part is now a New Look store.
ReplyDeleteThat,s a shame Barry that place employed many hundreds of people in and around Chichester in its time, still time marches on as they say
