Well Gents, here is the video of my little Charlotte that I wanted to put up a while ago and it didn't work for some reason. I think the operator must have had a blonde moment that time....lol....as it came up alright now. They say that where children are concerned it's Christmas everyday so wind your clock back a few months. Hope you enjoy watching it as I did putting it together.
I've been unable to view your videos online because they were made in the Adobe Flash Player version 7 format which has now withdrawn support for all win98SE systems. However, although Microsoft also withdrew support after XP first came out, their very lasted Windows Media Player still includes support for all previous win98SE &win9x systems! Therefore, if you are trying to reach out to a much larger audiance you'd be better-off making videos in the "Windows Media wmv format".
Just thought I'd mention it as "Credit Crunch" means I'll be sticking to 98 for a little while longer, apart from the fact "why change it when it ain't broken".
Congratulations Jenny, you've now changer over to wmv format! Unfortunately, you're using Adobe's version of wmv format and not Windows Media's version which means win98SE users are still not able to view your videos!
You might also like to know that a colleague of mine who works for Microsoft in Cambridge (England) tells me that they are now withdrawing support for WindowsXP in favour of the more expensive Vista! My advice therefore is to stick to the origional "Microsodt Windows Media Player versions", as no matter how digital electronics progresses, older versions of windows media will always be playable.
P.S....Sorry Jenny it's not your fault. It's "Multiply" that's changed the video format to Adobe wmv.
My site was working perfectly last week but now requires "Adobe only" flash player for win98SE videos that I can no longer view! I will write to Multiply and ask them what they are playing at. I think this situation may have arisen because of Microsofts Lawsuit, in that they now have to let other software manufacturers in on the act. Typical mayhem!
Grumps, will have to wait till April to have a photo taken with Charlotte, that's when Teressa will be coming to Brisbane for a week. Will make sure I get lots of photos with her.
Don, as much as I'd love to just watch the video, my renovations do not allow me too much time....that's why I haven't been on the BB all that often. I'm almost finished just one more room to go. It's not easy throwing out old furniture, painting, ripping off old carpets, buying new furniture, working around when tradesmen can come (electrician, carpenters, carpet layers). My latest venture is installing blinds in the kitchen. By the end of the day my dead beat and can't be bothered getting on the pc. And you all thought this blonde just sat around and looked pretty.....lol.
Jenny, Hard for you,I hate renovations, don't mind painting but hate wallpapering, overdue by us but will get a firm to do it,find its cheaper in the long run.Wish you all success with your hard work! ---- Don
Doesn't get spoilt by me as they are living up north in Townsville which is 1700 km approximately....a 2 hour flight. If she was here then you can bet your bottom dollar I would spoil her.
No wallpaper here took that off years ago Don, just paint work etc. Don't mind painting indoors but outside of the house....well it's definitely a man's job....lol. But I'm almost done...the last bedroom then it's demolishing the bathroom. You won't see me mucking around with that. That will be a tradesman's job. After that it will be demolishing the extension at the back of the house and putting up a whole new extension consisting of a sun room to relax in and a deck to party on....lol.
Why is everyone so mad on this "decking",my neighbours have got it and I have to laugh as every springtime they spend days with the pressure cleaner getting the muck and moss off.I've got good old black slate, looks great, and a bucket of water now and again brings it up like new!Mind you."decking" may be kinder to little gals heads! And Grumps, just be patient,Jenny will find a few minutes for us this year I'll bet!And her favourite song "Thank heaven, for little girls"! ----- Don
