    Brings back some happy memories of two trips to Gallipoli a few years ago. You may be interested to know that several Royal Dragoons served there on attachment with some Yeomanry Regiments. Squadron Sergeant Major W Stewart, 1st (Royal) Dragoons served in Gallipoli with the Surrey Yeomanry - Fortunately he survived & returned to the Regiment & was later commissioned - I am pleased to say I have his medals in my collection.

  3. MY FATHER WAS AT GALLIPOLI HE WAS WOUNDED AT SUVLA BAY HE WAS IN THE BORDER REGIMENT HE ALSO SERVED IN THE 2ND WORLD WAR, HIS BROTHER MY UNCLE SERVED IN THE ROYAL DRAGOONS IN THE 1ST WAR SO YOU CAN SAY I CAME OFF A MILITARY BACKGROUND.
