Reunion

Ladies and Gentlemen,
May I please as the Webmaster sincerely apologise to John Matthew during my presentation to Derek for not thanking him for all the work that he put in setting up the reunion, I am sure you will all like to join me in saying thank you to John at this late stage. May I now say that I hope that everyone there enjoyed the evening and met up with old friends, it was nice to see that we were joined also by friends from overseas that were able to attend, I will sometime soon put for a proposal for maybe doing the same next year.

  2. I also have an apology to make.
I did not introduce The Household Cavalry North Staffs Chaplain, the Rev Ann Taylor.
I have telephoned her and said a few kind words to her for her wonderful service, and Ian Taylor for bringing her and taking her back to do her evening service in her own church.

  4. One of the best weekends I have had,I hope to be there next year and for many more after that. I think that she who must be obeyed will be there as well. Like John M, I agree we couldn't have got where we are today if it hadn't been for them, quite often pushing us along. Dave Bramble

  5. Hi All,
John A and Denis are organising next year and it is on the weekend of the 19th June 2010, the Fradley Arms is booked so all you have to do is book your room at the Premier, I have done that already. The ball is rolling and the clock is ticking. I am sure you will give John A and Denis all the support you gave me, Miriam and I thank you all.

  6. Thank you John, as John has said Denis and I are now in the process of setting up a list of all members that will be interested in another reunion next year as John as stated on the 19th june 2010, so we recommend that you get booked up at the Premier Inn Lichfield ASP, may I point out now that ALL MEMBERS are RESPONSIBLE FOR BOOKING THIER OWN ACCOMMODATION, as for payment of the Buffet this will be posted when and if we have enough members interested in a reunion, so now Denis and I will leave with you all to get back to us. Many Thanks John Atkins

  8. John. Thankyou for making it possible for us to enjoy such a good weekend, Forty years after leaving the regt it was great to see so many faces that I can only say it was difficult to put a name to and also people that remembered me. You can put us down for next year.

  13. Hiya John and all. Thank you all so much for organising the function and also the first mini reunion of the old Recce Troop boyos. The reason that the weekend went so well was obviously due to the meticulous planning that went into it by you all beforehand. We all had a great time and we can't wait until next year.. Thank you all so much. Best wishes Tiger
