  2. I'd say that it is a poor copy. The loop joints are far too close to the edge of the badge, can't remember them being issued with staybright badges, it is laying too flat on the surface, there should be a shadow area on the side that the buckle fixes into the loop on the belt. Not worth more than a fiver inc p/p. TIS

  3. I HAVE BOTH BUCKLES THE ONE WITH THE STAYBRIGHT BADGE WAS THE LATEST ISSUE THEY WERE NOT AS GOOD AS THE ONES WITH BRASS EAGLE   YES NOT WORTH MORE  THAN 5 QUID

  4. I, still have the buckle i was issued with in 59 and that one has a brass eagle on it, I also still have the brass Lcpl's chevron but i don't know if there are many of them about now but maybe someone will enlighten us.      John

Did we really have staybright cap badges on those brass buckles,I know that mine always had to be "bulled".Tryed to find mine which I had in the attic,but its gone or I can't find it.That one on Ebay does'nt look right to me,so will search the attic again.Looked at my Mess Jacket hanging in the wardrobe,still looks good as new and I can at a pinch still get into it! ---- Don
