Very smart pair indeed. Sammy was my SCM in Windsor for awhile. Got a easy time from Sam as i think he had a soft spot for us royals. Allthough i know your name from Hobart don!t remember your face, as i was in C SQN with SSM Tucker as my boss until we amalgated. -------------------------------- regards paddy
Sammy was a good soldier and a very fair man with his boys.He was great on the "square".He did sometimes work himself up to a rage, but usually took it out of himself by jumping on his hat or throwing his whip in the air!His "accidents" on the WT are well known! ---- Don
Hi Gents. I was with Sammy in C Sqn we used to stand outside on morning parade wating for the sun to come over the building . Then we had to shout Yoshidara Sqn ( good morning ) i think and before going up to the tank park shout Banzi. That was untill someone complained no sence of humour, Sammy was a great SSM. George McGinlay.
