Welcome to the the Bulletin Board James, maybe when you have found your way around you can tell us your service history, hoping that you find a few of your old comrades on the site.
Many thanks for the warm welcome from all. No relation to Johnny Haynes I'm afraid but do remember him Fulham wasn't it? I joined Junior Leaders Regt,(RAC) at Bovington May 1962, Joined Royals September 1964 untill March 1968. Served, Tidworth, Warminster and Detmold. Spent my whole time in C squadron a few months in 3rd troop at Tidworth I think, but all the rest in 4th Troop rose to the dizzy heights of lance corporal. Names I recall serving with in 4th troop Jock Livingstone, Gerry Hayes, Tony Boon, Paddy Carthy, Geordy Syme, Pete Gainey 2nd Lt. Robin Smithers, Barry Goody, was great mates with John Tucker, and Phil Anderson. Apologies for those not mentioned or missspelt but the old memories not what it was. Jim
