A.F.V.s why did they get made U/S

Why did the M.O.D.sell off the Ferret ,Saladin ect
when we Gunners AFV were trained not to use main gun on a ,SOFT SKIN vehicle, just the MG fuel tank under the body .
They had more crew protection than than a landrover , other than a Barrett Rife of course maybe some one can pass it on to Genreal Staff.
even the Zambia Forces use the Sud African
V body Trucks (mine resistant) our Guy 's getting killed because the do not have the kit they need
remember the Hovercraft the troops of the future would use seems they , were just a dream of the 70's

Sorry to let you know the Passing of another royal, it is a bit late but i have just found out myself.

Jeff and i joined in 1964 August together as we were cousin's he served untill amalgamation and transfered to 4/7th dragoon .

He was a big mate with Spud Murphy and spent all his service in MT.

He passed away a couple of years ago by all acounts.
